Help Make My Film Production Journal Entry - October 6, 2003

This weekend was spent with my band recording our demo for local gigs so  had to split up some of my free time for that. I have a lot of work to  do in creating proposals to get corporate help in my project. It may just  mean local help but any help is good. I did hook up with one songwriter  name Tom Lazer who may be contributing tracks to the soundtrack. The plan  is to first perform the material as I write songs, members of my band write  songs and other contributing songwriters submit them. I worked out with  Tom where we could perform the tracks live first to get crowd reaction  (just have to mention he wrote them). Then after I gauge which ones the  crowds love, if his are among them we'll work out the details for recording  them and using them in the film.

 I checked in on the costume shop and they made a move this past month to  their new store front, so it's going to take them a little longer to make  the costume for the first stunt. But that's coming along. Worse comes to  worse, I'll make it myself. It's just easier to delegate the responsibility  so I can focus on details that others can't do for me.

 I should have the first couple of storyboards up within a couple of days.  I started working on the drawings but had to take a break. Sometimes, drawing storybards come easily and other times, it takes me a few days to get the images from my head to the page. It's an artist thing, just like the way  the rewrite took me a few months instead of a few weeks to complete. I  can't force the creativity.

 Well, gotta draw some storyboards and do a few more updates to the website  in the next few weeks. I'll be adding some features on the site including  a page about creating the music.
