Help Make My Film Production Journal Entry - September 20, 2004

I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I've changed jobs, made it  through several hurricanes and I have had my head buried so deep in getting  the band up and running that I put the other elements of this film on hold.  I've set up the warehouse as a nice place to practise and create music,  so now it's back to working on getting the film made.

 I never realized how important this journal is to keeping this project  moving forward. I started off keeping this to document my progress but  I've noticed that since I stopped writing these entries, my mind hasn't  been as focused on the filmmaking aspects of my movie. The music is so  important but it has overtaken the urgency I once felt to get this film  done. Then again, making a movie is not something you can rush. It takes  on a life of its own and kind of moves at its own pace. But I'm going to  make sure from now on that I make a few entries each week.

 The next step for me is to return to putting the sponsorship proposals  together for donations of equipment and other things needed to make this  film. One of the many things that I need to do is get some recording studio  time donated. So for the next few days I will be calling local studios  to see if one will be willing to join the project. We have some of the  music ready to record to make a good demo. The demo will end up as a part  of the sponsorship proposals. I'll also use it to shop for a record deal  for the band. So it's a very important element to getting the film made.

 Well, time to dive back into my next few steps on making this film.
