Help Make My Film Production Journal Entry -July 25, 2003
Well, I'm still working on my rewrite. Between trying to get sponsors for my fundraiser and working on other things for this film, it's been hard to finish up. I was actually suffering from writer's block. I just have too many things to worry about. However, I press on. Actually, I've gotten past the block and I've started working on the rewrite again. What helped was for me to put it completely away and write something else. I wrote a short film called "Seize the Day" that's been in my head for a while. It definitely helped. I don't know, maybe I just needed to step away completely from "Wildflower". Clear my head and begin another train of thought. Who knows. Maybe I just needed to feel like I've completed something and "Wildflower" was taking too long. I haven't completely analyzed it but maybe I'll save that for another time.
Gotta finish my rewrite. Work, it never seems to end. But oh it feels so good. Even on my worse day, working towards completing this project is far more fulfilling and challenging than anything else I've done thus far. I haven't had children yet so I can say that with complete sincerity.- Evann Black
