Help Make My Film Production Journal Entry - August 1, 2003

 More days rewriting, more days working on the website, more days trying  to arrange the details of my first fundraiser, the work just never ends.  And I'm not even in pre-production yet.

 Well, today I decided I'm going to try a different approach to getting  sponsors for my first fundraiser. I have something totally wacky in mind  and I'm making the phone calls to see if I can get people to help. I can't  give away too many details but it should be fun. This way, I won't need  corporate sponsors and it won't really cost me anything. I'll write more  about it once I've locked into all of the details.

 As far as the rewrite is going, I've decided not to pressure myself to  finish in a set time. I've been rewriting one or two scenes each time I  sit down at this computer. I think the pressure of trying to do too many  things caused the first writer's block so I don't want that to happen again.  I was trying to update everything and rewrite scenes. I think I was just  on overload, so I've decided to take things a little easier.

 I've also contacted the group S.C.O.R.E. (Service Core of Retired Executives)  to get some guidance on bringing this project to life. They're great on  the business side because these are all successful retired executives with  a lot of life experience and good business sense. They assigned a couple  of counselors who are going to keep me headed in the right direction. I'm  optimistic they'll be a great help.

 Oh well, back to work.
